During the 2023 Memorial Day weekend (May 27 – 28, 2023), members of Post 2002 distributed poppies to the local Brighton community at each of the two King Soopers in town. We do this each year to honor and remember our fallen military members who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. In this way, we also provide education to our community about the meaning of the poppy and the importance of commemorating Memorial Day each year.
100% of the generous donations received enable us to provide needed assistance and support to our local military veterans and their families. For that, we are most grateful. Thank you, King Soopers for being so gracious and allowing us to set up at your store fronts to provide this service to our community and our local veterans. Most of all, thank you Brighton community members for your never ending support and generosity.
Let us never forget our fallen military heroes and the sacrifices they and their families have made for us all.
